Qatar: Hayya tourist e-visa (A1)
Qatar consolidated its visa system into a single platform, Hayya, run by Qatar Tourism. Many nationalities already enter visa-free or with a free visa on arrival; Hayya covers tourist e-visas and several other categories for everyone else.
Who needs it
Travellers not covered by Qatar's roughly 100-country visa-free and visa-on-arrival list. GCC residents (holders of a GCC state's residence permit) can also use Hayya for a visa under separate terms.
Key facts
- The standard Hayya tourist visa (A1) allows a 30-day stay and costs QAR 100, though some nationalities are fee-exempt.
- You can apply through the Hayya website or the official 'Hayya to Qatar' app.
- A confirmed hotel booking is required for some visa categories, arranged through Qatar's own Discover Qatar booking platform.
Watch out for
Hayya is the single official channel; be wary of third-party sites that charge a markup for something Qatar Tourism offers directly.
