Oman: eVisa
Oman's eVisa is run by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), which has publicly and repeatedly warned travellers to apply only on its own site after earlier problems with unauthorised fake websites.
Who needs it
Travellers not covered by Oman's visa-exemption list, which includes GCC nationals and citizens of roughly 100 other countries for stays of up to 14 days.
Key facts
- The standard eVisa costs US$20 and allows a stay of 30 to 90 days depending on the type issued.
- Applications are made by registering on the ROP's own portal with a passport scan and photo.
- Oman also offers a joint Qatar-Oman tourist visa for travellers visiting both countries.
Watch out for
The ROP itself has said getting the e-visa from its official website is what prevents exposure to fake, unauthorised sites, so treat that advice as the clearest signal of where to apply.
Before you pay
Check that the address matches the link above, confirm the amount on the portal, and never pay a site that adds a large service fee. Our guide to spotting fake visa websites explains the warning signs, and the FAQ covers common questions.
